Signs Your Car Needs a Wheel Alignment
Alignment sets the angles at which your tires meet the road. Potholes, curb strikes, and normal wear move those angles out of specification.
What you notice from the driver's seat
The vehicle drifts left or right on a flat, straight road. The steering wheel sits off-center while driving straight. The steering feels loose or wanders. You hear uneven tire noise at speed.
A steering wheel that vibrates is more often a tire balance or suspension issue than alignment, so describe the symptom carefully.
Check the tires themselves
Run your hand across the tread. Wear concentrated on the inner or outer edge is a classic alignment symptom, and it shortens tire life quickly.
